And they are so cute!
Why I love this Recipe
Caramel chocolate pretzels are great because they are easy to make and satisfy both your sweet and salty cravings.
I love a snack kids can help with and this one is a great choice.
Make it a party with some peanut butter blossom cookies or some pretzels made with Hershey’s Hugs!

How to Make Chocolate Covered Caramel Pretzels
This is such an easy snack that kids love! Make a few or a lot. They are so fun.
To begin, preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unwrap the caramels and cut them in half with a sharp knife.
Then, lay 24 pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet (you may need 2 baking sheets or to work in batches depending on the size).
Add ½ of a caramel on top of each pretzel.
Place pan in the oven for about 5 minutes or until caramels are softened.
Remove from the oven and quickly press the remaining pretzels onto the caramel creating a sandwich.
Allow the pretzels to cool completely on the baking sheet.
Place each cup of candy melts in a microwave safe bowl with about a teaspoon of shortening and microwave in 30 second increments.
Be sure to stir between each increment until the candy is completely melted and smooth.
Alternately you can place them in the bowl of a double boiler or in a heat safe bowl over a pan of water. Heat over med/high heat stirring frequently until completely melted. If necessary to achieve a smooth consistency add in shortening a teaspoon at a time until the melts are perfectly smooth.
Dip ⅓ of the pretzels about halfway into the melted chocolate and place back on the parchment paper.
Repeat with the white and pink candy melts until all the pretzels are dipped.
Using the remaining melted chocolate in a piping bag, clip off the point to create a small opening.
Drizzle the alternating candy colors over each pretzel until they are all covered.
Repeat the melting and drizzling process with each color of candy melts.
Immediately after drizzling on the final color, add Valentine’s sprinkles to each chocolate dipped pretzel sandwich.
Allow to cool completely and enjoy!
Storage Tips
Any uneaten and cooled pretzels should be stored in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag.
You can store on the counter at room temperature and enjoy for 3-5 days.
